Four functions of computer systems

The four functions of computer systems are:

i) Data movement
ii)Control
iii)Data processing
iv)Data storage

i) Data movements: 
                                      Data movement helps to access the data in the computer or devices outside computer. It includes peripheral control and data movements from keyboard to screen. It also helps computer to communicate with the outside world.

ii) Control: 
                 Control monitor operation and maintain control of data processing, data storage and data movement.


iii) Data processing:
                             It is the basic functions of any computer. It describes the arithmetic and logical operation performed on data.

iv) Data storage:
                       It stores the data records, buffer containing the last key pressed, loop variable, logging etc.
